Typical Tasks:

• planting and transplanting seedlings

• weeding and maintaining flower beds

• harvesting flowers

• washing buckets and organizing harvest supplies

• bunching, making bouquets, and processing flowers

• installing plant netting and helping with general farm upkeep

• occasional on-farm farmer’s market help

What We Are Looking For:

• interested in working on a certified organic farm

• must be dependable and punctual

• comfortable working outside in heat, wind, or light rain

• able to lift 30-40 lbs and work on your feet

• detail-oriented and careful with delicate flowers

• enjoy hands-on work and being part of a small farm environment

• college intern possible, must be enrolled in Agricultural/Environmental curriculum

• helpful to be local, have reliable transportation

Schedule:

• seasonal position: MID MAY through MID NOVEMBER

• part-time: Mon-Friday 8am-12:30pm, flexible schedule a plus

• full-time: Mon- Friday 8am-4pm, flexible schedule a plus

Compensation & Perks:

• up to $17 per hour depending on experience

• building knowledge on flower varieties and vase life
